Good evening all,

this little screw is off a small domestic air fan , the screw looks like this ;

http://s785.photobucket.com/albums/yy134/cypher_0000/?action=view&current=screw.jpg

it is about 5mm in diameter , and dome shaped

i have looked online, but cant find any reference to this type of screw head - I am looking for a tool to remove it , it would help if i knew what type of screw it was ( ie the name of it )

ive looked on ebai at the security driver sets to see if i could recognise it, but none of them have a tool for this type

any help greatly appreciated,

No idea I'm afraid, never come across one, and I thought my security bit set had everything in it!

Can't you get a normal flat-head screwdriver in there? If you get one just the right size it might do the job. Failing that a Torx might do it, it won't be a snug fit though

the screw top protrudes is like a round bolt head, but with six 1/2 cut outs

it is a raised dome with the 1/2 moon cut outs
