hi

i just bought a small culligan water softener to fit under the sink as the water is so hard where we live and my wife also has psoriasis

there is an in and out to it, and a drain

first (i will add a photo) there is a large pipe with cut of tap that i assume is our mains

it fires straight off to around the house (i assume towards the wall) and splits off to the kitchen sink above so i think it needs the softener attaching before it splits into house/sink... there is a nut i can undo and a tiny pipe/u so not much room/distance and i assume the outlet somehow has to fit straight back on but i can't see a thread, it looks like the pipe just pops back in

anyhow - any help will be appreciated, i'm worried!!!
