I would like to make my fences higher by about 15 inches. The thing is i have concrete posts firmly stuck down. I was wondering is there any feasible way of extending the height, without taking the posts out, so it with stands the windy days as well.
the concrete posts are about 5 feet above the ground and so are the fences.
any help would be appreciated.
thank you. :?: :?:

What are the fences made of? panels?

You could fix timber alongside the posts to the required height, of course this will eat into the space between posts so you could either cut the panels down on one edge so they still fit between the posts, or replace them with arris rails.

dont forget you will be increasing the load factor by around 40% on a windy day [25% surface area plus another 15% leverage]
so you need to be sure the posts can take the extra load especialy if it a solid panel
