Hello everybody,
Just joined the forum hoping to get some advise. Just bought my first house (built in late 50's early 60's), want to start painting (white matt emulsion)but have no experience in decoration whatsoever.
I've started stripping all loose paint as you can see in the picture:
Old paint in some places comes off really easily and has several layers (probably 1 mm thick). Not sure what type of walls are those, they are really smooth and solid sometimes feels like porcelain(concrete walls?).
So now, how do I even out the wall with old paint that is hard to come off? Just by sanding?
How do I fill those cracks? Just any filler will do? What tools would I need?
Thank you.
