Our neighbours have just had new tiles put on their roof that do not match ours so the builder left a drainage channel and pointed up our side of our tiles..Who is responsible for clearing any future rubble/debris out and if/when our pointing comes out or tiles come lose who pays/does those repairs ?

You will be responsible for the maintenance of your side of the roof/ gutter.

How can that be,if it was all one roof before and they have taken the adjoining tiles off that also hook over our tiles and point it up without our permission then that cant be right, surely the neighbours and/or the roofer is responsible for the work done on our property.

Any recourse should be directed to your neighbour, your permission should have been sought before touching your roof.

You shouldnt have any problems if its done properly.

You should've bought a detached house.

We have been here 8 1/2 yrs and they do it now...We are trying to sell ours and the survey showed no problems with the roof. They were conned into having another one done....Lets hope it doesnt affect our sale.
