Nest Thermostat with Ariston MicroGenus 27 MFFI

Hi there specialists,

I am hoping to replace an existing wired Honeywell T40 thermostat on my Ariston Microgenus 27 MFFi combi boiler with a nest learning thermostat.
I have taken off the T40's cover and checked its wiring and it seems to have two wires into 1 & 3 but these bear no relation to the Nest compatibility checker so I am worried that my boiler may not be compatible..
Has anyone had any luck with a MicroGenus 27 MFFI - I believe the £250 price includes professional installation but I am worried about ordering one if it s a waste of time..

Although I'm yet to attempt one on an Ariston, I've installed around 50 Nests and am yet to come across a boiler it cannot be fitted to. I don't think the Ariston is particularly unusual so it should be no problem

other words the boiler is shyte , but you might be able to pimp it up a bit thou with bringing it into the digital age
