New house and no alarm code...

My mam has just moved house, she hasn't got a code from the estate agents, as it was part of a part exchange sale. She's worried about turning power off to the house or a powercut incase the alarm goes off with no code.
Do most alarms have a code which can allow you to change your code. Without having the alarm code? I'll follow up u tomorrow with more details on model etc..

In the mean time ring the estate agent and get them to contact the vendors and get the code it as the CONTRACT STIPULATED or to pay for the alarm company to visit to sort it out.

It is about time an estate agent did their job correctly.
