Hello All

We are looking for a new kitchen (not diy). We have started to look around, BQ Homebase local builders, etc. How best to go about this please with a view to fitting with existing fridge washing machine etc.

Would you think that buying units from a supplier and getting a builder to do it is a good idea?
We need general help at this early stage
Best

ohdearme,
They might be very good but:
the above recommended company is an internet based address in Surrey. They are middlemen who transfer fitting jobs to kitchen fitters who "Register" with them. They outsource the manufacture of the flatpack 18mm chipboard units. If its necessary you will have no come back unless you journey to Surrey. Their office address site doesn't list them as renters.

I'd suggest going local - word of mouth, and small one man band kit fitters (perhaps in the local paper?)
Why not bring in a couple of local fitters to advise on layout and possibilities - tell them whats what. They can best advise you during the site visit. Some building contractors or jobbing joiners are also excellent all rounders.

Surrey is too far, we have come to the conclusion that three quotes from a small local firm that has been recommended is our route.

Thank you both, Regards
