We bought a new shower from 'TradeMe'. It's a Cimarron NR520R (company has gone bust). It takes about 5 mins of fiddling around with the mixer to get the perfect temperature - infuriating! There's about a 1mm range on the mixer between scalding hot and cold. Also the 'massage jets' are a bit pathetic to call jets. We're not sure if we need a new mixer or a pump. Any ideas gratefully received!

Check the hot and colds are plumbed in the right way round as per your MI's. If it's thermostatic and plumbed in wrong, it will struggle to callobrate to the temperature you're trying to set it to.

Just put a pressure reducing valve in on cold. Seems to have more of an equal pressure now. Now the mixer works for about a 3 or 4mm range! Jets still ****y though!
