This is probably a stupid question but here goes!

The missus ordered a new washing machine last week because the older one give up the ghost!

The new one arrived today, unpacked it and noticed that it only has a cold water inlet, not hot and cold like our previous model.

Someone told me it is more efficient to heat its own water, hence no hot water inlet.

In this new model, do I just blank off the hot water inlet and just connect the cold water inlet?

I did say this could be a stupid question

just plumb it into the cold. apparently they are more efficient (i am no expert however) unless you have a very efficient hot water system such as solar power.

Had an idea it would pretty obvious

stupid question award for me today!
