I recently changed hot/cold taps in a downstairs WC.. During this process I drained the hot water tank and turned off the cold mains.... Upoin refilling the immersion and turning the cold back on I discovered that the cold water in the bathroom upstairs was only a dribble!..

what have I done..!.. An airlock maybe, but not sure how this would have happened?..

Check the valves that you shut off have opened correctly.

Probably an air lock. Hard to shift in a bathroom. Aquavac on the tap, or a normal vac, a towel and quick reactions to stop it sucking up water.

You can try connecting hot and cold and opening both taps but really you need mains to connect to the bath cold tap to push the air back up.
