no fuel delivery

i have a 1997 fiesta, the car would not start and i could hear no energizing from the pump when i turned on the car. i had a new fuel pump fitted, and i still cant hear the pump energizing, as a result the car still wont start. i have tried to find the fuel pump relay which im told is the brown relay second from the right in the engine bay.
can anyone help with this issue please.

It could also be in the fusebox inside the car so worth checking. Sadly faults like this are a process of elimination that someone with a bit of electrical experience will need to be involved in.
I know some fords have an issue with dodgy connections in the engine bay fusebox.
