Could I have a expert definition on the numbers and letter on a oil burner nozzle. I understand it's angles and how much oil is let through but that's about it

0.55 60 S,H,EH,ES

0.55 is the US gallons per hour

60 is the angle of spray from the nozzle. How much is spreads out.

S,H,EH,ES refer to the spray pattern. S solid, H hollow (empty cone spray pattern. ES and EH are variations on the solid and hollow.

so a 0.75 80 EH would be 0.75 gallons per hour spray angle of 80 degrees with a hollow spray pattern.

The quantity is US gallons per hour at 100psi.
The angle and pattern are decided by the boiler manufacturer to match their product. A 60 degree nozzle will produce a longer flame than a same size 80 degree nozzle.
The manufacturers instructions will include a table for differing outputs showing nozzle size, configuration and oil pressure.
