REMOVED BLACK WIRE BELL DID NOT RING
ABLE TO SET ALARM
SET ALARM OFF NO BELL NO STROBE
PANEL ALARM SOUNDED

Ok fine so far , open panel lid , tamper activates, turn off with code. Go outside is the strobe flashing ? Take note step 2 now put black wire back in , does it sound outside ? Yes / no ?

Opened panel tamper activated turned off with code
Strobe not flashing
Put black wire back in sounder sounds outside, but will not go off using the code
Will only go off when black wire is removed from panel

Next step as before remove black wire and touch it onto the white tamper return wire while it's still connected does it sound outside ? If so all good, next step remove the yellow strobe - wire and put it in the bell terminal where the black wire should be ... Go and check outside is the strobe flashing ?

Black wire to white tamper sets off external sounder
Yellow wire to bell terminal strobe works, but does not respond to code

Sounds like a faulty panel with constant 0v at the bell output....have you got a multimeter ? Did the bell box come with any resistors in a bag ?

No just the bell box

Just some bell boxes have trig wire monitoring which needs a resistor.

Sorry got mixed up this alarm is driving me round the bend
That means a new board then or can oat b repaired

Brand new about 5weeks old
