I would like to plumb in an outside tap. I already have a washing machine tap connected to my cold water pipe. Can I utilise this existing connection in some way. I know I need a separate shut-off valve for my outside tap, so would this really mean connecting another tee to the cold water pipe.

if u arent going to use it for the washing machine then u could use the "t...as it were

take off the w/m valve and take it from there. u need an isolator and a dbl ckeck valve

some say its ok as my bib tap has one already build in...others say we should be fitting "hard wired" ones , so the punter doesnt change it next yr cos its broke and fits a tap without check valve...u choose.

but u should one of the other.
