Hi, I'm after a bit of advice.

We bought a new oven (3.5 Kw) and separate induction hob (max 20A, I think you get set it to either 13,16 or 20A).

The existing cooker (freestanding oven and electric hob unit) runs off a 40A breaker.

Could I split the existing feed, which runs from 45A cooker switch ( I think the wire is a 10mm), using a dual cooker outlet plate - i.e. would it be ok to split the single 10mm to 6mm wire for the oven and to 4mm for the hob (it has already got a flex attached for wiring - looks 4mm to me).
Thanks
