Oven warm but not hot

After a few failed dinners I bought an oven thermometer to check the temperature on my Indesit Forno FI31KBIXGB. Even when on the Max setting it was only getting to 150*C, when it should be above 220*C. The indicator light switches off even though it is way below the correct temperature. Any ideas what could be the problem?

I guess the thermostat would be the first thing to check / replace......your oven should reach nearly 250 deg on full.
