When ever you use paint stash the colour / code / type and makers detail in a home projects note book (or pc / ipad file).

Then in 8 years time when you want to redo the job in the same colour, your be able to

Good tip - but no paint of mine has ever lasted 8 years before looking tatty! Plus I get bored with the same colours.. half the fun for me when redecorating is to change the look of a room.
