PEUGEOT 206 NOT TICKING OVER

Back of my mind am remembering there was a problem with throttle unit on Pergeot (206?) caused by corrupt ecu which needed reprogramming. I don't think that fault threw up error codes.

Can't remember what actual models/versions were affected.

Might need to check its programming with dealer.

What does a map sensor do?

I am still confused about this car. If the fan relays were faulty the effect would usually be not to run the fan! So the car volts would not drop with the extra load. So still don't see how that could affect the idle speed yet.

MAP or MAF sensors......
Manifold Absolute Pressure or Mass Air Flow sensors look at the air pressure or air flow within the intake manifold of a car, they report back to the ECU which adjusts the fuelling accordingly.
So far as I gather, your car will have one or the other.....I've yet to see a car with both, but I'm sure they aren't too far away!
