Scantronic make loads of different panels and many of them have different ways of programming. They also have different diagnostic capabilities. So knowing the model number will be useful...

Are your other PIRs and contacts wired for FSL or CC+Com A/T? It other words, do they have resistors fitted in the terminals or do they use four wires (alarm pair and tamper pair)? Make sure that your shed PIR is wired the same way.

If you're using two wires, FSL, you should have the 4k7 resistor (yellow, violet, red) across the alarm terminal in the PIR and the 2k2 resistor (red, red, red) between one of the alarm terminals and one of the tamper terminals. The two wires should go to the other tamper terminal and the alarm terminal with one resistor - see the "Alarm sticky" for more details.

BTW You'd be better off with a dual-tech (rather than a PIR) in a shed.

hi all double dutch to me lol
using 4 wires 12 aux +and - other two to zone one the door contact goes to ee no problems
the anti tamper not wired either end
panel is 9448 +

Disconnect the zone connection (whilst in engineers mode), start the walk test (97 enter), hold the tamper switch in and put a link of wire or a paper clip across the zone connection to see if the zone is working.

If it is, check your wiring to the PIR.

If it's not, check that the zone hasn't been set to "not used" by using Command 15.

All the details are in the Installation Guide. I found a copy here.

will give it a go zones are programmed on so what happens when I connect a paper clip will it light the zone light up replaced pir and cable still same if the paper clip shows zones not working what do this mean ? the panel is faulty?
