Does anyone have a rough idea how many 30mm Galvanised Plasterboard nails there are to the kilo? I don't need that many (using them to fix metal angle bead) but don't want to buy a kilo and end up having to buy another kilo when i can get a 2.5kg bag for less money, equally don't want to end up with loads left over as i don't have any other use for them?

I use a little grab adhesive & an 8mm staple gun.

Interesting! - tried stapling them on but they just seemed to pull out, didn't think about using some grab adhesive too. Do you run a bead of GA along the entire length then, or just put spots of it where you staple?

I staple the angle beads to the wall first, put a blob of adhesive every 6 inches or so staggered both sides (or you can use plaster) & force it into & flush with the mesh with a scraper. If the wall is hard (re-skim), sometimes the staples will deform rather than go into the existing plaster; no matter they will still hold it in place & I just pull out the buckled ones once the adhesive has gone off.

Will give it a try then - already got some grab adhesive, a staple gun and some staples so maybe no need for plasterboard nails!!

Been noseying about the net this lunchtime and eventually found an approx quantity of 700 per kg? (just in case!?!?)
