Plasterer required

Hi all,

I am in need of a good plasterer to undertake a small amount of work. I should think the job will be relatively simple, we have a rather old existing loft conversion but unfortunately there is no insulation between the rafters making the room very cold.

It has been suggested that, as it will be far too much upheaval to strip down the whole ceiling, deepen the rafters (50mm airgap needed) and insulate that we should fix insulated plasterboard over the existing ceiling and re-skim. We can afford to loose approximately 40mm headroom and even a small difference would be good as right now when it snows, all the snow melts on the roof.

It would be greatly appreciate it if you can recommend anyone in my area who would be happy to do this.

Indeed - Sussex , the Dead Centre of the UK - yeah there`s loadsamoney here - the b`stards just don`t want to part with it - and never have done

There are, just need to find someone who is recommended to give me a quotation. I think the neighbours just had some work done so I might ask to see it before getting the chap to give me a quote.
