Potterton 60e Central Heating won't work but hot water ok

Hi,

Tried central heating for the first time before winter and the boiler will not fire. The timer is set correctly and displays CH. The pump starts and stops when I alter the room thermostat but the boiler will not fire.

The hot water operates correctly.
There is water in the CH system.

This is a gravity fed system will no motorised way valve.

Any ideas where the problem may lie would be gratefully appreciated.
