Please hellpppp i'm freezing !!
Originally the system was all working correctly except the C/Heating did not come on with timers etc. Informed I could push the plunger in on the 'mid position valve' & this worked for a long time, however the other day the plunger snapped !
Purchased and installed a correct replacement ACL 22mm Mid Position Valve (complete Gray Box & the plumbing fitting underneath)
ReStarted the system and all working well c/h & water both appeared to be hot. System ran for 20-30 mins all ok then i manually turned the system off at the switches on the timer block in the kitchen.
Now the hot water or the c/h will not fire up at all ?? We have checked the following:
Replacement gray mid position valve is working & moving when instructed by the timer block in the kitchen.
C/H overflow tank in the loft is topped up & at the correct level.
All stop valves have been returned to their original position following partial drain down of water in the system to allow removal of the plumbing item.
Boiler in garage pilot light is on & intermittantly fires up to the lower stage of the gas burner for around 30-60 secs then goes back to pilot light.
Airing cupboard - the pipes up from the floor leading to the water pump & the bottom of the tank are both hot.
Moving the 3 way switch on the water pump makes no difference & there appears to be 240v at the pump.
ANY Ideas would be welcome, thank you.

Hello Mr. Serco Services,

Looking at the water pump it's a WSP Gold, would I be right in thinking that the sloted thread in the centre of the unit needs to be undone anticlockwise to 'bleed' the system ? the pipes up to the mid position valve are all reasonably hot. Should the heating / hot water be on when trying to bleed ?
Thank you for your response
