Potterton Puma 80 - No CH/HW

Hi,

My boiler no longer ignites for CH or HW - pilot light still on; everything else seems OK but -

Mains light has gone out, suspect this is why but what does the Mains light refer to, what are possible causes is this something i could fix myself

When you say main light are you referring to a neon light?? if so, Check your main switch or plug socket and check fuse.

mains light should be on constantly with this boiler
Your problem will almost certainly lie with the pcb which will be burnt out in the top left hand corner
this is a fairly common fault and replacing the pcb (printed circuit board) will sort it out

personally i re-solder the neutral wire or cut it and connect it to another neutral wire
