i have a large shed about 30 metres from the side of my house and would like a power supply there to run a few tools and lights.Taking power from the main switchboard to a new consumer unit in the shed would 6mm cable be good enough or should i use heavier gear, and what sort of switch gear would i need at the main swithboard.I obviously wont be doing the work because i cant but i would like to feed the cable through the conduit and have all accessories here for as such times i can get a sparky to install them.
Cheers Guys

Would suggest you ask your electrician his opinion on the cable size. Theres no hard and fast way of wiring a shed, each install is different, and each electrician has different standards of workmanship ;)
