Pressure Release Valve on Ideal Response 80

I'm trying to repressurise my expansion vessel and although system pressure is showing zero and no more water is coming out of the rads, i still can't get any air to go in via the valve, just won't accept it, am i doing something wrong?

Also tried to release pressure using the pressure release valve (red knob), but this just clicks and at about 1/4 turn and doesn't appear to do anything, any thoughts?
