Apologies if this is a well documented subject. Is fitting one of these programmable multi setting room thermostats straight forward? Are they a straight swap for my old dial type?
Also any model recommendations welcome.
thanks in advance. CTP

Normally it is straightforward.

It will replace your timer/programmer as well as the dial type thermostat.

Post info on make and exact model of your boiler for detailed instructions.

Honeywell are probably the best available, ie. CM901/907/921/927.

hi, boiler is Vokera Excell 80sp and just had domestic HE replaced which has transformed the boiler. This is after @18 months of troubles looking for a cheaper fix, finally bit the bullet and now got steaming hot water again. Thermostat is old Honeywell dial type 10-30 0C , like boiler @12 years old,
Just looking for a thermostat that we can set at a comfortable night setting, warmer for getting up, minimum during day, then warm ready for getting in from work. Maybe one that allows time alterations for weekends. Also big thanks since info on this forum got the boiler fixed at last.

The Honeywell CM907 (wired) or CM927 (wireless) will do all you ask.

Do you have a timer/programmer at the moment? If so, the CH channel will be redundant as the Honeywell CM handles time and temperature. The HW channel is still used to control HW times.

Come back to this topic, when you have bought your programmable stat, for detailed wiring instructions.
