We are in the process of getting a new bath.

it will be a choice of a corner bath or a P/B shaped one.

If we get a corner bath, the current pull cord switch for our electric shower will be inside the shower area of the bath very slightly. Will this be legal and safe?

See diagram below.

how high above the floor will the switch be when it is fixed to the ceiling? Be precise.

In your layout as shown in the plan diagram, it must be at least 2250mm above the floor, or it must be higher than the shower head if that is higher.

Alternatively, it could be moved so that it is more than 600mm sideways from a vertical line drawn above the bath, showertray, bathtaps or showerhead.

It is already in place attached to the ceiling (as shown in the current setup diagram above). Just measured floor to ceiling its 2320mm.

When the new corner bath is installed it wont be directly above the floor as the bath will be underneath it. Hope this makes sense?

OK, it is high enough so is allowed to be above the bath.

There is a picture somewhere that might explain it better.
