put x400 in vented system now trickling water sound?

In the new year we're going to put a heated towel rail in the bathroom so as per advice we've part drained the system and put x400 into the f+e tank.

Tank filled up/radiators bled and all ok but now we are getting a trickling water sound in the rads upstairs is this normal or do I need to investigate?

check that the trickle isn't the f&e tank filling, if it is you've got a quite serious leak.

it stopped after about an hour and had nothing since. Checked the tank and the level was fine in there.

It takes a while for air in the system to work its way out after having drained down and refilled. You might find that there's some more air in the rads if you bleed them again now, particularly upstairs where there are more high points for it to collect.

If you do need to bleed again you are likely to hear the water trickling in again.
