Hi all,

I need to put a spaced picket fence up on an uneven slope. How do i do this? All the online stuff is for even slopes, just want a few pointers as i want the top level of slats to look "stepped down" and not uneven.

Thanks

You can choose a line that overall suits the slope and then vary the length of each board to suit i.e. put a string line on at either end and adjust until its giving an average of the slope

Or step it as in the 1st pic above

Or divide it into a series of lines which will be better material wise but may not look as good.

A photo of the area would help.
