Looking at buying a basic kit for the parents bungalow, the kit comes with QUEST PIR's.......in my limited experience I have only ever fitted Texacom Medusa's and have never had any trouble from them. What do you learned chaps think of the quest ones.

Quests are cheap , and fall apart on installation, very poor , they cause a large percentage of false alarms , i put one in , next day i took it and used a gen 2 bosch blue-line , never used a another different detector since.
