My houses wiring is quite old. I am attempting to replace a ceiling light. But there is so many wires. I have looked about the forum for similar problems but can;t find any!
I have 12 wires coming from the ceiling. There is 4 sets of neutral live and earth. I couldn't find any wires marked with red tape. So i checked them all, and found one that actually makes the light turn on.
I put one live/earth/nutral into their place in the connector bit, the light turned on, but the switch doesn't work.
Where does the other 9 wired go?
What's wrong?
Please explain VERY simplified, as I have never done anything like this before.
Thanks
