oh youll still find them. people buy them because they are cheap and look rustic. then they find out they smell, they leak tar, they contain creosote, they are very heavy, difficult to cut/drill/get a fixing into, etc etc.
look for green oak or softwood alternatives. most landscaping/fencing/timber/building suppliers should do them.
