raising an RSJ to roof height

i am going to put a lintel in my garage
does anyone know a way to raise the lintel to the height of the ceiling . i expect it will be quite heavy

Steel or concrete.

I did my steel lintel on a mobile scaffold. A rung at a time. Just me and the missus.
That was a 4.5 metre double skin width steel catnic lintel.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed your other posts. Are you talking about a lintel or a RSJ?

i was going to use a box type steel lintel, approx 5m long although idont know if that is the best thing to use

Three bandstands, 3 scaffold boards or 450mm staging, 2 lads will p*ss it.
If not hire genie hoist.

You lift one side up rest it on the wall and then lift the other side up

But judging by your other posts, you may be better off getting some one in who knows what they are doing
