Random Satellite Coax Cables

My son has just moved into a newly refurbished house. There is a twin coax from the satellite dish going through the wall which he had connected to the sky box. Coming out from the wall behind the TV is also another twin coax which has been snipped. As it's a refurb I am assuming there has never been anything connected. In the adjacent room there is another snipped twin coax and in the upstairs bedroom there is yet another snipped twin coax. In the photo you can see it bottom left. It is like this in all 3 rooms. There is also an aerial output at all 3 points.
The only thing we can think off is they have installed the cable to allow for multi-room unless anyone has any other ideas?

Could they have been using it just to pull future cables through the wall?

There's a few different possibilities; but rather than waste time speculating on what they might have been used for, you might want to spend a little time working out which goes to where. That way if your son needs to move a box or do something that makes use of the coax then you'll have a wiring plan in place.

Your son should ask the house seller or your conveyancing solicitor for the wiring diagram. Considering how much he probably paid for the property, this is the very least you should expect.
