Hello everyone,

I have a Ravenheat RSF 84 combi in my house. The hot water works perfectly but when the heating comes on the boiler works in short bursts of about 2 minutes, before turning off for about 30 seconds.
The rads get nice and hot and all seems to be well but after this cycle continues for about 30 minutes the orange main burner fail light comes on. The pump and fan carry on working when this happens. I simply turn the switch on the boiler of and on again, and the whole cycle continues.

I forgot to add then when I initially filled the boiler I couldnt find any bleed points to release air - Could this be the issue and if so does anyone know where the bleed points are on the RSF 84 - Installation manual isnt that clear.

Any ideas ?

Stu

Remove front cover, air release valve top left of combustion chamber, looks like a dust cap.

Open one full turn and leave open.

If you did'nt bleed the air from the boiler, then yes it could well be.

Or a dodgy thermister.

At the risk of sounding stupid - Whats a thermister ?

I've searched the PDF version of the installation manual and done a search on the LPS website and got nothing on both
