I'm thinking of changing my Vaillant VCW GB 242 EH Boiler. Its over 25yrs old. I'll be sad to see it go cos it's been a cracker of a boiler! I've got to know this boiler very well. I was looking around on this forum and various other places and much is said about the Remeha. It sounds like a similar quality modern version of my vaillant. Especially the feature of having a large surface area regarding the HEX. This has been the main problem (but easy to fix) with my existing boiler. I live in a particularly hard water area. I was also thinking of having a Boiler Buddy fitted to try and reduce the problem. (any alternate ideas welcome)
