Need to remove bottom panel of shower enclosure, as we have a leak which having done some tests is almost certainly coming from the drain underneath the shower.

I've removed the screws and tried to prise the panel out using a chisel and hammer but the thing ain't budging. Any ideas? The bottom panel seems to be stuck to the top panel with either silicone/mastic or glue, but I'm not 100% sure.

Its hehind the skirting on the left remove that first, is it behind the tiles on the right?

rake out the grout,

get a sharp knife down the top edge to cut through silicone.

If you tried to remove that with hammer and chisel then you did not put anywhere near enough energy into it,

Must try harder !!!

Ok will give this a go. Feel like the naughty boy in class! :(

Get a thin, flexible bladed scraper and push it down the gap behind the panel all the way down. Start at one end and keep doing this all along. Once the silicone seal is broken all along, put a wide bladed screwdriver between bottom of panel and floor tile and carefully lever the panel upwards.

This method may save removing skirting, etc and all the making good that would be necessary. It will only be silicone that's holding the panel. Break it's hold and the panel should move up and out.

Thanks for the help. Panel now removed. Water leak due to badly sealed grout somewhere on the wall with the shower head. Not sure if we're now going to hand to replace the entire wall + chipboard backing b
