I'm removing tile from my bathroom walls that are plaster. The thing is that it was attached using some sort of glue rather than grout compound or whatever. I need to remove this stuff because i plan to restore the wall and paint it. Plus, the plaster beneith has been scored to look like tile with about a 1/8th grove. Can i just spackle over this, after the glue is removed? Plus, the tile only went up to chair rail level, so the wall above that is only paint. Any tips on how to restore this is apreciated.

Thanks, I don't know why I just didn't goto the local DIY store anyhow. Now that you mention it, it seems obvious.
