Removing a running outlet.

Hi

I'm in process painting the house. Other identical houses on our street don't have the gutter down pipe in the middle of the house as shown in the pic. I spoke to a neighbor and they said they had theirs removed as there is a down pipe on the front of both the left and right side walls.

If I can remove it what's the best way of doing it? I'm so bad with heights. I have a ladder and stand off but the lower the better. Could I remove the down pipe and somehow cap the underside of the running outlet or do I have to remove the outlet completely?

identify the gutter make. Then buy 2 gutter unions and you will need a short piece of gutter. Remove the running outlet insert the unions and connect together..
