hi, i am wanting to remove two small l shaped walls to make my kitchen larger, the walls in question are for a downstairs toilet and cupboard, the walls dont carry on upstairs but need to find out if there is any joists being supported by said walls
What is the easiest way of finding out?

Either peel back an upstairs carpet and lift a floorboard or remove a section of ceiling.

Whichever way is easiest will depend upon how much furniture you have upstairs coupled with your carpet laying skills or laminate floor laying skills verses how good you are at plastering and painting etc.

I would risk the ceiling route because ultimately there will be the need for repairs here should your search prove negative.
