Hello
Our external walls are dark brick in colour and we would like to render it and paint it so as to brighten up the house.
Total area is 30 square metre.Quotes we got is from 500 to 1500 (labour and material).
The work is on first floor and they would need to use a ladder to do the work.
All of them assure of good quality and lasting finish.
What should I be specifying and insist upon when they render.
Most of them said Unibond and then scratch coat and then final coat-over 2-3 days.Is it okay?
How many days after rendering can I paint it?

Ask to see their work and chat to the owners of the houses they have done and take it from there...
