Repainting / refurbishing a window

Another question. I have got a couple of small windows that I have stripped of the old paint and I want to remove the glass in order to re-putty them. What is the best/easiest way of removing hardened putty from a wooden frame. I have heard of using parrifin to loosen the linseed putty or a special heater but I am not sure which way to go

i just use a chisel knife - never broken one yet. You can get them from Wilkos or B&Q.

as joe has said or an old chisel will do the job.
