Hi all, really hoping someone can give me some advice.

I have a Myson Apollo Fanfare 15/30 boiler and the clock on the programmer has stopped working meaning the CH/HW has to be turned on and off manually.

I believe it is possible to replace the programmer with a digital one? Such as one of these:
http://www.salus-tech.com/products/details.php?cid=20&scid=34&pid=21
or:
http://www.grasslin-controls.co.uk/_sa_webapp/run1afa.html?page=77

I have looked at the wiring diagram and there are 6 wires going to the existing programmer, is it just a case of connecting these 6 wires to the new programmer? i.e is it a diy job?

Is the existing timeswitch built into the boiler? if so this is un-likely to be a DIY job by the way you seem to have found two of the C*****est Programmers on the market why not fit something decent like a Honeywell ST9400C?? ;)

Thanks for the reply boilerman.

The existing programmer is very similiar to this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thorn-Apollo-...572342&linkin_id=8060231&mt_id=635&kw={query}

Only differences being that the top switch om my programmer is for ONCE/TWICE/CONT and the clock has 4 tappets.

Does this help?

As for using two of the worst programmers available for examples, compared to the existing programmer they looked good!!
