My ground floor lights switch on for about 15secs and then all go out without tripping the MCB
I have connected both the ground and first floor into another 5A MCB and they both work fine.
Is the other MCB likely to be faulty and can it easily be replaced? Is there a 'how to' guide anywhere?

I speed up your enquiry please post a picture of your fuse box thanks.

If nothing trips, it could be that the conductor in the MCB was not terminated correctly or the MCB to busbar needed tightening up. Also check the neutral terminal.
Heat contraction and expansion can do this, if not terminated well.

I would advise you to have the mcb checked, wylex had major issues with 6a and 16a mcb's which were recalled. It's important you check you don't have a breaker from the offending batch.
