we have a largish extension, about 13 x 13 ft, with flat roof which was replaced about 12 yrs ago.
As we now have a slight leak in the middle via a light fitting we need to look at getting something done. - the leak was running down a wall, not badly, just enough to stain wallpaper, but i managed to put some bitumen paint on the edge, but obviously it has now found its way to the centre hole of a flush type fitting (not recessed) which has 3 bulbs in it, its just a slow drip into a small bin - just monitoring it now with lights off and will disconnect safely tomorrow.

someone told me we could have a pitch put on top of the existing roof with boards and have it felted, saving all the hassle of taking the old one completely off. Could the frame and boards be done by us and then have the felting done professionally of course. What pitch is best and are there any diagrams to show construction?
cheers
