Replacing faulty Wiring Receiver

Had some good advice on here a while ago and hoping for some input again.

Needing to replace my parents faulty wireless thermostat. They have a seimens RDJ10 which I am going to replace with a Honeywell CM921.

Both Boiler and thermostat L&N come off the same fused switch.

I have looked at the wiring diagrams and it looks like it should be a straight swap for the receivers swapping L &N and the control wires L1 and LX1 on the Seimens to A and B on the Honeywell BDR91. I have attached wiring diagrams of the boiler/receiver for info below.

I have also attached a third image which shows how the existing receiver is wired as it stands just now. For some reason the previous installer is linking the live terminal in the receiver to LX (common). Not sure why he has done this, I believe this "link" should not be required for the new receiver but just posting to get some feedback.
