Replacing Hot Water Sink Tap Washer

Hi members,just a query and thanks in advance for all replies.
I have a mixer tap for hot / cold water in my kitchen and the
Hot tap washer needs to be replaced.A normal hot tap washer
Won`t do it.It`s one of those `off the beaten track`type of washers.
A few years ago a plumber explained to me how to go about
Replacing these type of washers but I`ve forgotten.
