Hi all,

I am about to replace the light on my stairs and landing and would like to check that what I am proposing is safe and sensible.
Currently there is a single rose and flex with a 100w bulb controlled by three switches (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs). I would like to replace the flex and bulb with 3 hanging lights with 10 x 5w (12v) bulbs in each. I don't intend any other changes to the switches etc.

Is this ok ? If so, what size cable should I use to connect them up ?

Thanks.

Just connect the transformers to the existing lighting circuit cables.

You'll probably need to refer to the For Reference section to see how to deal with the fact that your ceiling roses will have up to 9 wires in them and your new lights only have places for 3 of them....
